About

Rooted in Passion, Growing with Purpose

Four Forty Records began as a passionate, independent record label in the early 2000s, proudly representing a strong lineup of artists including Altered Frequency, Liang, and Juwita Suwito. Their music found its way into mainstream airwaves and received multiple award nominations, especially within the urban English scene.

Driven by a heart to inspire and equip the next generation of musicians, the label soon expanded its role—mobilising its network of passionate creatives to deliver training and mentorship, both across Malaysia and beyond, including Singapore.

As the music landscape evolved, so did we. Four Forty Records embraced a new role: becoming a bridge between independent music and the mainstream industry. This pivot led to the radio success of Astor Walk’s debut singles and brought Arddley Nicholas into the national spotlight—culminating in his win for Best Male Vocal Performance in a Song at Anugerah Industri Muzik in 2022.

Today, alongside initiatives like VoxFest Malaysia and the Malaysian Worship Collective, we continue to support, equip, and celebrate local talent—believing deeply in Malaysians’ ability to shine and excel at the highest levels, even on the international stage.
